Welcome to the new website of the National Center for In Vivo Metabolism Biomedical Technology Resource Center (BTRC), sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The BTRC is an integral partner of the Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC) at UTSouthwestern. The BTRC supports not only its science, but its training and dissemination to institutions across the nation. Carefully selected and planned Collaborative studies and Service agreements are continually cultivated to provide the backbone for push-pull research to maximize utilization of our scientific team and technology. MR research, collaboration and services include spectroscopy and imaging studies on: blood and tissue samples; human and vertebrate subjects; areas of interest include skeletal muscle, brain trauma, alzheimers, stroke, diabetes, heart and liver.
The National Center for In Vivo Metabolism is funded by the NIH through P41EB015908 and has a long standing history in NMR based metabolomics, in particular software development for 13C NMR analysis. In recent years, the center is focusing heavily on new probe development for DNP and metabolite imaging in pre-clinical and clinical studies.
